Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my blog!  My name is Kelly, and I have a degree in French Language and Literature, taking some time off before (hopefully!) heading to grad school.  This blog actually started as a way for me to connect with friends and family back home in Buffalo while I was studying abroad in France from September through December of 2009.  All of my earlier posts recount daily life abroad in beautiful La Rochelle, France.  The photo above is of me in Paris, which I visited with my wonderful and close cousin Marsha.  The photo below is of La Rochelle, a beautiful old city on the Atlantic Coast.  I highly recommend you check it out if you can.  I miss it a lot!

While I was in France, I started reading book blogs as a way to keep up-to-date on what was happening in the book world back home (I've always been an avid reader).  When I returned home, I realized how much I missed blogging, and not being able to blog about my time in France any longer, I decided to blog about another passion, reading.  I considered changing my blog name to something other than my France blog....but nothing would stick.  So, welcome and I hope you enjoy reading Kelly's (Former) France Blog!

The two photos of me on my homepage were taken by my friend and photographer Christina Rosenfeld.  If you live in the Buffalo, NY area and want her to take photos for you (weddings, baby photos, holiday photos, etc.), let me know and I'll give you her contact info!  She is a sweetheart and a very talented photographer <3
